Born Damontae better known as Yung Star is a rapper, actor and songwriter
who has taken Chicago and the internet world by storm with his hit single
"Jig Wit It", has already received over 25,000 views for his video. Yung Star is
indeed a name that is becoming well known throughout the world. Raised on
Chicago's west side, Yung Star began writing at the age of 7 and by 2010 it became
rap history when he introduced his first single "New Fit On" on Chicago's 92.3
True Star Radio. Influenced by rap artist and role model Trevor Hill a.k.a Marcel
Kash Tree Footsteps, as well as Jay Z, Tupac, Kanye West,  50cent, Roscoe Dash
and more. Yung star is following his dream of becoming one of the greatest
rappers. Performances in the Chicago-land area and New York's Times Square
gained the attention of one of the hottest radio station's in Chicago, 107.5
W.G.C.I. which led to his Nomination November 2011 as one of the finalist to
open for W.G.C.I.'s Big Jam Concert. Yung Star has proven he has the skills
needed to take the stage with some of the best in the game upon opening for many
teen Celebrity Artist such as Issa, Ace Primo and TK n Cash. Yung Star's third
single released October 2011 "Yall Cold" along with the Official Video March
2012 is well on it's way to becoming a hit in Chicago and beyond. Yung Star
gained the attention of Super  Producer Keezo Kane with (Good Music) which
lead to Yung Star hit single “Crush On You” Produced by Keezo and released
December 2012. He also gained the attention of many after being 1 of the 8 finalist
to perform on the stage at the Chicago Theater for D. Wade Chicago's Has Talent,
with over 2000 people in Attendance . With all his hard work and dedication to his
craft Yung Star was Nominated for the 2012 Chicago Music Award and Won January 2013
for Most Talented Teen in Chicago. Yung Star is Well on his way with his mom and family
supporting his dreams he still remains as humble as he did when he first picked up his pencil
